Paul has experience working in a secondary school setting, both supporting the teaching of curriculum and running extra-curricular activities. He is committed to the inclusion of arts in education across all levels, and is currently developing a series of workshops and programmes suitable for students of all abilities. Paul is especially interested in how drama can enable the academically less-able to achieve, while also pushing the intellects of those who are already flourishing within schools.
He is particularly interested in nurturing the talent of technicians, stage managers, designers, directors, choreographers, writers, and, of course, producers within the arts in schools, and is keen to support those aspiring towards those roles in preparing themselves for those careers, rather than young people waiting for higher education settings to start exploring non-performance roles in theatre.
For East Barnet School, Paul has also worked administratively and tutored a number of Key Stage 3 students. With the Drama department, he assistant directed, directed and/or produced on a number of productions or exam pieces: EBS Has Got Talent (2014), Year 11 GCSE Drama practicals (2013 and 2014), East by Stephen Berkoff (Year 12 AS Drama practical, 2014), The 12 Days of Christmas (2013) and Oliver Twist (2012).
